Jean took a long journey to reach the edge of success. As a young lady, she owns the title of Magna Cum Laude from University of the East and was a Certified Public Accountant. Her promising career started as a CPA in a respected firm of Carlos Valdez and a College Accounting Professor in University of the East in the Philippines. She moved to California in 1979. Hopeful and determined to settle a brighter future in the US. She started her challenging journey driven by courage even without a local employment experience. She confidently presented herself in a job interview that impressed David Talichett a business tycoon who owns the Proud Bird restaurant at the Los Angeles where she worked for a year and became an auditor in an advertisement firm later on. Her humble beginning is a formula of perseverance in reaching out for her goals. Even without US banking experience, she was hired in a local bank in Beverly Hills. The knowledge she gained working in the American City bank carried her in elevating her profession in a larger bank institution.

In 1982, just a mere three years in America, Jean became CFO / Comptroller of the prestigious Southern California Banking Corporation and its subsidiaries that oversees all 15 branches. This is when she made her name known as she suppressed gender and nationality. She was the first and only woman, the only person of color among all male in white skin, the first Asian and the youngest member of the Board of Directors. The combination of her strong educational background, hard work, perseverance and a great aspiration is her secret to victory.  

Jean, as the president of Serratore Tax, is known by their clients for her invulnerable accounting language that made the firm respected in Las Vegas and nearby cities.
